Fragmented Fountain
Fall 2017 Harvard Graduate School of Design Core I: Displace + Immerse Critic: Danielle Choi With the city of Boston’s early civic pride in it’s water system in mind, this waterfront park aims to reconnect and reassess what water means in a contemporary public park. A series of controlled, canal like fountains trail from the historic edge of the Charles River down to the waterfront, where clusters of platforms form enclaves for enaging with the river’s edge. Together the fountains and waterfront make legible the highly controlled and engineered nature of Boston’s public water.
